SHOW NOTES: The Almost Brilliant, Definitely Bewildering, Green Knight
From the Grounded Geeks podcast / your co-hosts Aman and Lena
The Green Knight was…interesting. Mainly because Dev Patel and Sarita Choudhury were in it. So naturally we had to talk about it on Grounded Geeks! We cover the hero’s journey, Arthurian legend, brown people in medieval knight stories, Bridgerton, and so much more. The Green Knight is not your typical medieval knight or even historical fiction movie. But it’s definitely one of those movies that gives you a lot to think about. Also it might be one of those movies that requires you to read more (like the links below) before you can fully appreciate it. Enjoy!

- This quote from this article really helps make sense of the approach director David Lowery chose to take with this film: “I love nothing more than to have a shot that lasts so long, you sort of drift away from it and think about other things in your life. And you come back, and the shot is still going on. And you’ve brought something of yourself to it. That’s one of my favorite experiences in moviegoing, and one that I try to provide opportunities for in my own work.”
